Making space for play in the city centre

Leeds Play Network have been looking for a temporary place to deliver playful stuff in the city centre for quite a while so we are excited to announce we have found a fantastic space within St Johns Centre.

We will take up temporary residency on the upper level of the centre in the shop unit which was previously Jumbo Records.  The unit will enable us to offer a playful and creative space for children and families in the city centre.  We are starting our residency during the summer holidays,  delivering our ‘Artful Dodgers’  creative sessions which proved popular in Leeds Kirkgate Market last year.  Full details below:

We want to put together an exciting programme of workshops and events to make good use of the space so are looking for ways to work with artists and other like-minded organisations.   If you would like to work with us to make a playful, creative and fun space for children and families please get in touch via our contact page, Facebook or Twitter.

We are very grateful for the support we have received from St Johns Centre, Child Friendly Leeds and Leeds City Council.  The ‘Artful Dodgers’ sessions are funded by Leeds City Council Play Enabling Grant (PEG)
